Advanced Battleship
Classic Battleship, rebuilt for strategy. Hunt the enemy fleet on a 10×10 grid, but every turn you also earn money, buy upgrades and use each ship's special ability. Play rated games against people close to your skill level, or against the computer.
How to play
- Sink the enemy fleet: Carrier (5), Battleship (4), Cruiser (3), Submarine (3) and Destroyer (2).
- War chest: start with $500 and earn $100 a turn. Before you fire, buy extra salvos, sonar sweeps, cluster bombs, torpedoes, armor or repairs.
- Evasive maneuvers: a damaged ship can slip one tile away unless it's hit in its center.
- Ship abilities: the Carrier tows ships alongside, the Battleship returns fire, and the Cruiser drops a smoke screen when it sinks. The Submarine can sacrifice itself to save a ship, and the Destroyer is a medic boat that secretly patches its neighbours.
- Two modes: Normal Mode is pure skill. Event Mode adds random event cards such as whirlpools, rogue waves, the Kraken and reinforcements.
- Play online: log in and press Play Online. You're matched with a player of similar Elo, or with a bot if nobody's around. Every game is saved to your archive, where you can replay it move by move.
